On Memorial Day, Dylan (my husband) and I hiked to Herman Lake via the Herman Gulch Trail. I’ve done this hike twice before, once in August 2020, and the other time in January 2022. The hike was beautiful, albeit a bit muddy for trail conditions, but that is to be expected in late May. The lake itself was still frozen over, which was kind of disappointing, but overall I enjoyed my Monday morning in the mountains.
