To celebrate my 30th birthday, I hiked to the Royal Arch. This hike starts from Chautauqua Park, a historic park located in Boulder, CO at the base of the iconic Flatirons. While the distance was relatively short at 3.4 miles roundtrip, it was very steep with over 1,400 ft of elevation gain. However, the payoff was worth it, there were amazing views of not only the arch, but of the Flatirons and the city of Boulder.
